Projecting Waze/Apple or Google Maps onto Infotainment screen?

I’ve been trying to figure out how to project Waze onto my infotainment screen. Apple CarPlay seems to be working because I’m able to listen to music which is playing from my phone and I can hear Waze’s directions/alerts through the car’s speakers, however, when I try to project my screen, Apple CarPlay is greyed out. See photos. What am I doing wrong. Thanks in advance mates!

Car didn’t like my USB-C but immediately accepted my USB-B. Weird.
Yes, you are correct. Only the USB-A port is a data/media port. All the other USB ports in the car are for charging only, not data transfer. Android Auto/Apple CarPlay would fall under the data transfer category.
You’re right, USB-A is what I meant. As far as USB-C not working for data transfer, perhaps that’s the case with the EV6, but it works just fine in my ‘22 Atlas. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Update: Sorted… the car didn’t like my USB-C but does like my USB-A.
