Just took ownership of our EV6 (Wind AWD) and am learning the ropes. One thing I'd like to be able to do is program AC charging to start at night. I've looked through the manual, online videos, etc. and the menu options referenced aren't there. Any thoughts on what I'm missing?

A lot of EVSO's have scheduled charging built into them. My ChargePoint, for example, downloads the parameters from my electric company so I don't have to type it in, and knows that although it's 10pm-8am weekdays, any time on the weekend is also cheap. I've turned off the scheduling in my 2024 EV6, since it doesn't know about day of the week.

Yeah, they haven't even properly updated the manual to account for this. The 2025 manual says:

You can set up a charging schedule for
your kia (sic) using the Infotainment system
or Kia Connect application. Refer to the
manual provided in the infotainment
system and the quick reference guide
for detailed information about setting
scheduled charging.

Those other manuals say nothing about scheduled charging. So I think it's something they just haven't implemented in the car infotainment system yet. That's really obnoxious... I hate move fast and break things. They're learning bad habits from the tech industry.

This may not help, but just in case:

To set up scheduled charging:
  1. Access the EV > Scheduled Charging and Climate menu on the infotainment display.
  2. Tap Setting and choose Scheduled Charging.
  3. Set your preferred off-peak electricity time and time priority.
  4. Choose Prioritise Off-peak Charing to optimize charging for the next departure time or select Charge ONLY during Off-peak for exclusive off-peak charging.

Not keep a thread going but I wanted to provide another insight in case someone else is having similar issues and search leads them here. I was going through Settings -> EV, which is not the same as Home -> EV. The menu items are there if you start on the Home screen and select EV. I am able to set it through the vehicle in addition to the app. Long story short, it was operator error. 😬

As I've said, they don't use their own product and don't have focus groups. All adds up, all the way to most dealers having no one that drives/uses one. Total disaster software wise.
Yeah, my wife is convinced I knew more about the car than the dealer I did. And they were so proud to introduce the sales guy as "their ev guy". Given the shit I had to go through to convince them that they had to do something in order for me to get the $7500 tax credit... I feel like I could have done a better job running their ev sales.
Rant time... this is why I hate shopping for cars. So many sales people don't care if they sell you a car or a refrigerator. I love it when I get someone who is a true car person and excited about the product they're selling (they are out there, but tough to find). I wish all car sales people would be excited about the product. Or at least as excited as I am as the customer...
