hi all, does anyone know if Kia could possibly roll out an update to enable V2L on all the EV3 models? I read somewhere that all the models have the capability, but it's only enabled on the higher spec versions.
Thanks. So, it probably is possible to roll this out here in Ireland. Only the top version (GT-Line) has it and the Earth 3 and Earth 2 versions don't, including the 3 pin hotpoint. I had both on my previous 2022 Niro EV, so was disappointed to find out it wasn't standard on all EV3sFortunately here in New Zealand V2L is standard on all EV3 models, 3 pin hotpoint by back seat and adapter included for the charge port.
I have a V2L adapter from another EV and tried it, but unfortunately it didn't work.Just a thought and may not be relevant, but the US EV6 Light trim did not include the V2L adapter that the Wind and GT-Line trims had, but the V2L adapter worked just fine with the Light as an add-on. Is there any way you could borrow or test one from a GT-Line owner or your dealer? Perhaps it will work "out-of-the-box."
Yes, genuine KIa adapter. My EV3 doesn't show any V2L settings in the EV section. So I assume it's just not set up in the car.A genuine Kia V2L adapter, I don’t know if there is a difference but just a thought.
No. I don't have a hotpoint in the backseat.Certainly seems like there are quite a few differences depending on the country/market the car is aimed at.
I presume your car doesn’t have a hotpoint by the backseat.?
