So after reading into this more apparently this was removed on the NACS models because the NACS standard requires that the charge PORT lock the charge cord to the vehicle. This was not a problem with J1772 because it has a physical external locking mechanism, where as NACS does not.

If the car did not lock the cable in on connection there would be nothing securing it and it could easily just fall out and remain energized, which obviously wouldn't be good.

So these options will clearly not be coming back, but I am at least now much less annoyed that they are missing because there is a valid explanation as to why. It is inconvenient, but required.

Thank you. Although I have the standard two NACS adapters (AC & DC), I haven't had a chance to use them. Thank you again, for helping with my ignorance!

guys any help please i would apreiate it alot, i have imported a kia sprtage 2024 from south korea and its now in egypt here at my place i have tried to change the maps and i couldnot could any one tell me how to make the maps here in egypt or the middle east ??
