I personally don't understand the flawed logic about how if Car A has some specific feature then why is Car B lacking it--i.e., why can't Car B come with the same feature(s) that's offered in Car A? Hey the Ioniq 5 has the panoramic moonroof, how come the EV6 doesn't offer it? Hey, the Ioniq 5 has a magnetic pad where you can attach stuff to it, how come the EV6 doesn't have one? Hey, Hyundai offers 3 years of unlimited EA DCFC charging (limited to 30 minutes per charging session), how come Kia offers only 1000 kWh of free charging with the EV6? Regardless of the fact that both the Ioniq 5 and EV6 are built on the same E-GMP platform they are not completely identical to each other when it comes to features. I get it--yes it would be nice if the EV6 had some of the features offered in the Ioniq 5 (and vice-versa) but to argue that if the Ioniq 5 offers it then there's no reason why it can't be offered in the EV6 is a bit silly IMHO. And oh BTW--IIRC the (U.S.) EV6 includes the V2L adapter but the Ioniq 5 doesn't include it, so it can go both ways.

If any/all of those Ioniq 5-only features are that important to you, then maybe you should have just bought an Ioniq 5 instead. Wishing that a feature was available in the EV6 is one thing, but complaining about how come the EV6 doesn't have it even though the Ioniq 5 has it is pointless--in the end you are comparing apples to oranges.
You know what we don't have though? That few hundred dollar "low conductivity coolant" change every few years. (EV6's first change is 120,000 miles/195,000km or 120 months).

I would have liked rear OEM sunshades myself, but c'est la vie.
I just bought custom rear shades instead.

So failed logic? They are both Hyundai motor products. They should share many of the same features. I like Kia styling better but the features of the Hyundai. This is a forum for complaints or a wish list. I gave you my wish list and you say failed logic. The digital key is a huge omission by Kia and why is Ioniq 5 back seat so much nicer? Both 60k cars. The Kia should have at least 1 or 2 of these features and most would agree. No apples and oranges. Tesla and Kia are apples and oranges comparisons. The Acura Zdx and the Cadillac Lyriq are on same platform and will have almost identical features.
You know what a car offers when you buy it. If you don't, it's your fault.
Stop whining.

Sometimes on forums like this you'll see posts along the lines of "I love my EV6, but..." and then share something that bothers the OP. For those who've owned their EV6s for some time now and have have positive experiences, is there something that bothers you about your EV6? It could be a big thing or a nit pick.
Lack of wireless Apple Car play / Android auto. in a car with this much tech there is no excuse for this. Also, the one "button" for audio and Climate and needing to switch back and forth is stoopid. I can't tell you how many times I have turned off my tunes when I wanted to turn off the air.

Regardless of the TSB(which doesn't fix, but masks the problem) He is correct. Even with the TSB you can't charge ad the advertised rate. For most people is this a problem? not really, but for some it is. I can deal with it, but do feel I did not get what I paid for. If I wanted to charge slow, I would have gotten a Bolt. Mine will charge at the desired rate if I put a clip on rechargeable fan right at the port, problem is, I shouldn't have to on an almost 60K car. Baycityboy, if you haven't already, join the class action suit for this problem, maybe more and more pressure will make them fix this the correct way instead of their cheap band aid.
Please provide a link to join the class action suit.

You have the audio controls on your steering wheel.
wtf

if it is set to audio and I do not notice because I'm driving, I will accidentally turn off the music instead of the AC.
If this helps, you can hold the button you can set a default so it will always fall back to your preference. After setting my default to multimedia, I haven't had an issue and typically use Auto climate. Tapping Auto also brings up the climate controls if more changes are required.

Thanks! I'll give that a try.

Nobody's disagreeing with you in that it would have been nice if the EV6 came with some of the same features that are in the Ioniq 5 but you're trying to argue that there is absolutely no reason for Kia to not do so. Consider this--everybody knows that the Chevy Tahoe and GMC Yukon share the same platform (ditto Chevy Suburban and GMC Yukon XL), and I'm almost certain that the Cadillac Escalade (short-bus length) shares the same platform as those two models as well; pretty certain each model offers one or more features not normally available on either/both of the other models; this is a fair apples-to-apples argument IMHO considering that the Tahoe/Yukon/Escalade all are GM vehicles, similar to how Hyundai/Kia vehicles are all HMG vehicles.

Re Wireless CarPlay:
I thought so, too - at first. Context: I had wired CarPlay in my 2018 Leaf, and it really started to itch me when a colleague got a Niro EV with wireless CarPlay. I just had to try it out and I was ... underwhelmed. It wasn't anywhere near as snappy as wired. Now that I have an EV6, I wondered whether things have improved, especially considering that there's this amazing Qi charging pad - which is virtually impossible to use with an iPhone 14 Pro Max that has any sort of cable connected to it. Again, reality quickly caught up: The Qi charging pad barely ever charges my phone properly and with my phone being about the size of the charging pad, there's not that much variance in how i can position in there. Long story short, I plug in the wire and drop it in the bottom tray. At least that reduces any residual temptation to pick it up while driving.

I am generally happy with my EV six, although there are some complaints. I wish the Kia connect software on the app was more user-friendly, and was easier to maneuver through. I think it is just terrible. Also, I would like to say that there should be more charger stations for Electrify America . The number is terrible and I have range anxiety. three I would like there to be a rear window windshield wiper. Four, my Apple CarPlay seems to be going in and out once or twice a month. I get a message that says it cannot be played at this time. I don’t know if it is a software update or what is going on. Five my fast charging of a level two from home frequently stops in the middle of the charge because there is a disconnect with the vehicles charging system. It is not a failure of my level two home charger. Also, it does not appear to be a problem, simply because it is cold.
Apple CarPlay is notorious for being finicky when certain cables are used. I tried "official" (i.e. expensive) Apple cables, cheap cables, and am currently using a "DeWalt" cable that's supposed to be extra sturdy - and all of them eventually bit the dust with the issues you're describing. My take (from 6 years of daily use in a Nissan Leaf and occasionally other vehicles) is that either the connector is going bad from frequent unplug/replug, or the cable's internal conductors are suffering from the cable being flexed as part of normal use. Once a CarPlay session disconnects out of nowhere, it's only a matter of weeks before it gets worse; handling the phone during a session increases the likelihood of it happening.

Replacing the cable with a new one has always fixed it so far, giving me some 6-12 months of reliable use out of the new one if it wasn't super cheap. I still prefer that over my one experience with wireless CarPlay in a Niro EV, even though I hate having to throw away a cable after a year.

My No 1 annoyance now is that the seat heating/cooling controls are just so easy to hit when using the heating/fan etc controls. I'm forever switching the seat heating on when I'm adjusting the fan speed. I've resorted to putting a wooly hat over the whole front end of the console. Problem solved but...

Some have mentioned the charging port and that it is not lit. I have been using a head torch for 20+ years for various things including changing wheels or plugging tyres by the side of the road. Now I keep one in the front door pocket and put it on when putting the charging cable in place in the dark. Yes, there could be a light but using a head torch leaves both hands free.
I've only had my EV6 for five days and found myself getting a chilled seat multiple times after using the climate/audio controls. Capacitive buttons are such a bad idea for cars where the design should really enable the driver to feel and push buttons without having to look away from the road, let alone accidentally push buttons.

I have the same problem, with the right side A-pillar too.
all cars are like that now with airbags in the front pillar. i drive a lot in NYC and always lean forward the back while looking in mirror in order to see the large blind spot and avoid running over people and bikers while making left hand turns. im also getting better at making run on sentences. :)

How about the missing rear wiper - is that a problem that it's not there ?
After 20 months with an EV6 in Minnesota, not a problem. Airflow takes care of it in every situation I've been in. Someone living and driving where dust is the issue instead of rain or snow might have a different opinion, don't know about that.

Ya, I really enjoyed looking at a matte gray EV6 at the dealer that was sitting in the showroom and our salesman pulled us outside to quietly tell us that we didn't want it as it was hard to maintain due to the restrictions on the matte finish and that he'd had upset clients who had purchased one without knowing the issues that come with that finish. We took his advice to heart and ended up purchasing a runway red and are quite happy.
Yeah, always read what it says on the tin. Can't fault Kia for lack of disclosure there, but there is no shortage of sleazy sales reps who will say or not say anything to get the sale.

Unless you're dealing with a rear glass that is covered in stubborn dirty wet spots, that there is no rear wiper on the EV6 should not be an issue--just the other night I came back to my car--including the rear glass, of course--being all wet from a light shower; after having driven my car for a few minutes at speed the rear glass was practically dry/spotless, and it remained that way for the duration of the drive despite the rainy conditions still being present.
No problem either with my EV6 in Minnesota, but NOTE that I park in a garage so it's only exposed when actually driving, not sitting outside ever.

YES! My test-drive was a GT-Line, couldn't reach to the dash without hitting one of those buttons so I was thrilled to find out about the Wind with Tech option plus Homelink. Real buttons FTW
