Is there a way to turn off the engine sound completely.
When I set it to off, it will turn itself on next time I take the car for a drive.

Where is the update from December, in the Kia desktop app?, only showing November for me...Correct. The latest version is dated December.
When you actually install in the car, I recommend that you go for the quick install. It still installs everything but you can‘t use the infotainment while you are updating.
The slower install allows you to use the system while you are doing the install. However, I sat in the car while doing that and probably because I was fritzing about too much, the installation failed. It worked fine when I did the quick install.
Finally, I suggest you put the car in utility mode before doing the update to protect the 12v battery.
Good luck!
yes, it's available from the Desktop App. I think the version number indicates 12th December 2021Where is the update from December, in the Kia desktop app?, only showing November for me...

I have the same issue also with the car bizarrely not doing it at home. An interim fix is to go to Settings/Vehicle/Convenience and turn off Advanced Theft. Sadly it resets it self if you restart the car so you have to do it every time you park. I also noticed that in the Kia Connect app under User Profile/Vehicle Settings/Vehicle Settings/Convenience there is an Advanced Anti Theft switch, but this not work on my system.I see it now, the notification says November, but the details say software version 21-12-14 (14th Dec 2021)...hoping this fixes my alarm issue...every time I park somewhere alarm goes off and Kia Connect tells me to check car... isn't doing it at home though.

Apologies if you have already done this, but if you open all your windows a bit (on a dry day!) then run the demist on high for a while, that can dry out the car quite well as a one off.I have had alarm issues with all my new cars, it's like bad luck or something. A few years ago, 2017 I got an A4 Saloon, alarm went off almost every day at work without fail. Turned out it was condensation causing it and after a few months, it vanished, with no alarms again. Wonder if the EV has this same issue, the back window does get fogged up a lot but also de-foggs a lot as well. Maybe something to do with climate control in EVs, turn off that heat button in the EV6 the windows will fog up, especially the back. Is this a new car issue, lots of moisture from shipping or something?. Something must be going on. I bet as the car dries out the alarm issues go away. Fingers crossed. anyway, just a thought
Hi Logicpro8 - there is a screen that shows the version and you can figure out the date of the version on that…Just did the most recent update, took a while (USB 2 speeds), however, got an error saying the update failed at 100% after system reboot. But systems shows the most recent versions, weird. Not seen the new system icons/design theme as yet....
Should it not look like this now?.

I'll try to confirm the active sound menu screen is there now.
Do you have the Meridian Surround system? I think you may need that to have the Active Sound option. Also checked that going to Settings > Sound there is now no active sound design at all in the menu.
Yes, it’s fun to play around with but I’ll bet a dollar to a doughnut that nobody leaves it on.Ahh ok, maybe on GT Line S cars have it then. GT Line cars dont have the Meridian sound system. Although I can hear something. Must need to the upgraded sound system to get it. Not that I wanted it on![]()
If you select Custom Sound, you can reduce the volume to zero. (As a workaround). After installing a software update, I too am no longer able to turn off the Active Sound Design. This is most annoying!
