I read on a computer magazine where software was the solution and I tried it and I'm happier now that I can equalize the sound to my liking. The writer was right. Here is what I did: 1. Bought this AA adapter: Amazon.com 2. Installed on my android smartphone Poweramp Equalizer from the Play Store 3. Paid for the Premium version (like $5). 4. Sound now is waaay better than before. Now I can hear a decent bass and solution can buy me some time to ponder about the hardware solution like everyone here has done or is thinking of doing here.
That works for those using phone media/Spotify, etc. But would not help those using, fm, SiriusXM, etc..

I have been happy with mine so far. More punch would be nice, but mine is far from lacking bass as some are. It is notably better than my MY22 GTLine was.

Dumb question--when wiring the subwoofer amp, are you folks running the amp ground/negative wire to a bare metal spot or are you splicing it into the negative/ground wire of the rear cig lighter adapter (which is where no doubt just about everybody is running the sub amp power wire to)?

If you're referring to the kicker amp wiring, I spliced that power adapter for the rear cig lighter and connected it to the black/negative wire on the kicker harness.

Wanted something a little higher quality. 10 inch Cerwin Vega with custom pvc plate. Had to take the strut tower bar out first. No way that was sliding in. First world GT problems. I do use the original panel and have the OEM rubber mat. Sounds awesome and installed the remote knob on the fuse panel by my steering wheel.

I ended up gluing the subwoofer to the wood board with silicone to remove vibrations. I also placed some felt buttons between the car brackets and the wood board. The sound is great inside the car. Outside, especially in the back I can hear some car parts vibrating, around and under the bumper, but inside the sound is great.

Are you running dedicated power from the 12v battery or splicing into the 12v socket? I wonder if the wiring is up to the job for a subwoofer.

Did anyone measure the volume of the trunk in the bottom where the sub is placed?
I've ordered EV6 without meridian and am thinking of using this part of the trunk for the custom made box that fits inside.

Does anyone have pictures how the original amp is wired? I'm most interested where does it take power from? Is there a direct power lead from positive 12V car battery to the amp or is there any other spot with 12V+?
